frequently asked questions...
How do I place a custom order?
You can send an email to admin@ecohipcustomdesigns.com or you can contact me through my online shop on Etsy: http://ecohipcustomdesigns.etsy.com. Please note that I can not accept all custom order requests due to existing project and work commitments. If I am unable to assist, I will promptly let you know.
I own a boutique or store. Do you currently take wholesale orders or place items on consignment?
Sorry, EcoHip products are not currently available for wholesale. This may change in the future although there are no plans to do so.
EcoHip products may be considered for wholesale, depending upon the products requested and location of the store. I will not mail anything on consignment to a retail location that is not local to me.
Do your items come from a smoke free home?
Absolutely. There is no smoking anywhere in my house. I feel it’s not good for our ourselves, our kids, or the planet.
Do your items come from a pet free home?
Nope, we love our pets. We currently have two cats living with us. But, all my items are kept in sealed plastic bins in my sewing studio, neither of which my pets can access.
Why don’t you use Disney characters, Dora, Superman, etc. fabrics in your items?
Many of the fabrics that feature cartoon characters or other products marketed to kids often have copyright restrictions that prohibit their commercial use. I also feel kids have enough characters marketed to them, I don't want to contribute.
Can you do rush custom orders or promise completion date for custom orders?
If you need an item quickly, I will do my best but cannot promise. In general, you can expect a custom order to take 3-4 weeks to be completed and ready to ship to you. I can give you a more exact estimate at the time of your order. Please understand that I can not begin any portion of your custom order without receipt of payment.
Some of your products state that they they are made with vintage fabric. What does that mean?
A good portion of our vintage fabrics are from old fabric yardage, but we do occasionally re-purpose from old dresses, feed sacks, and other items. That being said, there may be slight tendency to have some fading or flaws in the fabric which in our opinion adds to the character and uniqueness of the product. They will always be free of holes and any major flaws.
Are your lines perfectly straight and does each item look exactly the same?
Our items are handmade, one at a time and may vary ever so slightly. We can promise they will be professional, handmade products. But, we can’t make them look as if they are made by a machine.

Where are you located?
